The AFRICAN LEADERSHIP JOURNEYPreparing godly and competent kingdom-minded global leaders
In 2018, Africa became the most Christian continent on the globe. Christianity’s rapid rise in Africa has birthed a tremendous need for good leadership, both within the church and without. Good leaders, however, don’t spontaneously develop. An old proverb notes, “When you see a turtle on top of a fence post, know that it did not get there on its own.” Every leader serving well at a global level is a product of a long and formative process, a combination of intentional support and input from those committed to their development, and God’s Divine shepherding.
The African Leadership Journey seeks to provide the developmental nurture needed for young, emerging African leaders to become godly and competent kingdom-minded global leaders. By providing and recommending informal, non-formal, and formal developmental inputs, we seek to partner with God in the growth process He uses to place people in leadership roles involving a high degree of complexity, uncertainty, and cultural diversity.
What is the Journey?
Beginning with a group of college-age professionals, the African Leadership Journey provides a life-on-life mentored journey to men and women over a 10-year period. Its goal is godly, competent, kingdom-minded, global leaders.
